OmniKeep (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application, OmniKeep.

By using the Application, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

1. Information Collection and Use

OmniKeep is an offline-first application. This means that the majority of your data (notes, scanned documents, and journals) is stored locally on your device. We do not operate a proprietary server to store your personal notes.

However, the Application uses third-party services that may collect information used to identify you or to provide specific functionalities (Backup, Ads, Analytics).

A. Personal Data

We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information (PII) such as your name, address, or phone number on our own servers.

  • Google Sign-In: If you use the Google Drive Backup feature, the app may display your Google Name, Email, and Profile Picture within the app’s drawer for your convenience. This data is processed locally and is not sent to the developer.

B. Device Permissions

To provide specific features, the Application requires the following permissions:

  • Camera: Used solely for the AI Document Scanner feature to capture images of documents. These images are processed locally on your device to extract text or create PDFs. We do not view or store these images on external servers.

  • Storage (Read/Write): Required to save your notes, scanned images, and to generate backup files on your device’s internal storage.

2. Third-Party Services

We employ third-party companies and services due to the following reasons:

  • To facilitate our Service (e.g., Cloud Backup);

  • To show advertisements (in the Free version);

  • To analyze how our Service is used.

These third parties have access to your Personal Information only to perform these tasks on our behalf and are obligated not to disclose or use it for any other purpose.

3. Data Retention and Deletion

  • Local Data: You can delete your notes or clear the app data at any time through your device settings. Uninstalling the app will remove the local database.

  • Cloud Backup: If you use the Google Drive Backup feature, your encrypted backup files (.okdb) are stored in your personal Google Drive account. You have full control to delete these files directly from your Google Drive.

4. Advertising (AdMob)

For users of the free version, OmniKeep uses Google AdMob to display advertisements. AdMob may use your device’s Advertising ID to serve personalized ads based on your interests. You can opt-out of personalized advertising by visiting Google’s Ads Settings or by using your device’s privacy settings.

5. In-App Purchases (Pro Version)

We offer paid features (OmniKeep Pro). Payment processing is handled by Google Play Store. We do not collect or store your credit card details or financial information. All transaction data is securely handled by Google.

6. Security

We value your trust in providing us your Personal Information.

  • Encryption: OmniKeep uses AES-256 encryption to secure your backup files before they leave your device.

  • Local Storage: Your notes are stored in a secure SQLite database within your device’s sandbox.

However, remember that no method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure and reliable, and we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

7. Children’s Privacy

These Services do not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so that we will be able to take necessary actions.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Thus, you are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
